Which Tesla Should You Rent?

Tesla Model 3 - the default choice

From around AED 190 per day, and the most-rented Tesla in Dubai by a wide margin. The Standard Range does 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds with roughly 500 km of range; the Long Range extends that to around 600 km; the Performance version does 0–100 in 3.3 seconds. All three get Autopilot as standard, and the minimalist interior with its single central touchscreen is genuinely pleasant in Dubai traffic.

For most people renting a Tesla in Dubai for the first time, the Model 3 Long Range is the right car. It is fast enough, the range removes any charging anxiety, and it costs a fraction of the Model X.

Tesla Model Y - the practical one

A Model 3 with a hatchback and more headroom, from around AED 299 per day. The extra boot space and higher seating position make it the better choice for families or for anyone carrying luggage. Same powertrain, same Autopilot, same charging network.

From around AED 2,500 per day. Stainless steel, no paint, and utterly unlike anything else on Sheikh Zayed Road. Dubai's Cybertruck rental fleet is very small and it books out fast - if you want one, book weeks ahead, not days.

Charging a Tesla in Dubai

This is the question most first-time Tesla renters actually want answered, and the honest answer is that it is easier than you think.

Tesla Superchargers are installed across Dubai, including at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and along the Sheikh Zayed Road corridor. A Supercharger will take a Model 3 from 10% to 80% in roughly 25 minutes.

DEWA Green Charger stations are distributed throughout the city - in malls, car parks and petrol stations. Many are free to use.

Range is not an issue for city driving. A Model 3 Long Range does roughly 600 km on a charge. Dubai is about 35 km end to end. You will charge once or twice a week, not daily.

For a Dubai-Abu Dhabi trip (around 150 km each way) you will not need to charge en route in a Long Range car. In a Standard Range you might want to top up.

Most suppliers include a charging cable with the car. Ask when you book, and ask whether the supplier provides a Supercharger account or whether charging is billed to you.

What's Included in a Tesla Rental

Every Tesla listed includes basic comprehensive insurance and a 250 km daily mileage allowance. Most suppliers include free delivery across Dubai.

Budget separately for:
